Profile: I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Cultural Analysis at Rutgers. I was trained as an anthropologist with special interests in networked digital media, new technologies, Europeanist anthropology, and French studies. My dissertation is an ethnographic study of voluntary associations that promote free software in France. Through such focus, I analyze emergent ideas about online cooperation, technical literacy, and transnational activism around new technologies.
